WHO WE ARE
Barabbas Road is a church in San Diego CA. Our services are held Sundays at 10:00am at Pacific Beach Middle School Auditorium near La Jolla CA and Pacific Beach CA communities. We are a Baptist church in San Diego CA. We invite you to review our church mission, vision and doctrinal statements. Doctrinally we most closely resemble the Baptist denomination of the Christian Church.
THE NAME
Barabbas was the first man to ever be able to look at the cross and say: “that should be me up there.” His name literally means “son of the father,” and he is a perfect representation of fallen humanity.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN
First of all let it be observed that Jesus was accused, and found innocent of the very crime that Barabbas was guilty of; inciting a riot (in Barabbas’ case this included murder). Barabbas, the guilty man, was set free because Jesus, the innocent Man, took his place; literally Christ took his place on the cross. The same is true for every man, woman and child today. They walk the Barabbas road because Jesus took their place on the cross. They, like Barabbas have been offered the free gift of eternal life. We are trying to reach La Jolla and all of San Diego, with the message that they walk the Barabbas road and can be set free from their sin, have eternal life and a relationship with the Creator of the universe through faith in the substitutionary work of Christ on the cross.

You then walk the barabbas road. Christ, the innocent One took the place of you, the guilty one, and offers Himself as the full payment for your sins. HE already died for you, like he did for Barabbas. We do not know what came of Barabbas or what he did with this choice. What will you do with yours? Welcome to the Barabbas Road!
